Auroraquest Cancellation/Refund Policy
THE AURORA
The aurora comes out most every night this far north, but it is impossible to predict with absolute certainty when and to what degree of intensity it will occur. Weather is the major factor that will affect your seeing the northern lights, and we constantly monitor conditions to achieve a high rate of success for viewing the aurora on our tours (80% success rate). But we have no control over Nature and make no guarantee that you will see the aurora.
OUR COMMITMENT
We make every possible effort to ensure you the best chance of seeing the aurora during your evening tour out of Fairbanks. We rely on multiple sources of information on current conditions, including reports from numerous local contacts throughout the area we cover. If we decide conditions preclude any reasonable chance of seeing the aurora or create high risk to your safety, we will contact you by early evening to either: reschedule; refund; or go out anyway (if there is no safety issue and it is your only remaining night in Fairbanks, you may choose to take your chances by going out).
CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS
You may cancel your tour anytime more than 72 hours in advance of tour date for any reason, for a full refund. Unless there are extraordinary circumstances, we normally do not offer refunds for cancellations within 72 hours of tour date, as we have reserved seats for you that we are unlikely to fill on short notice. For this reason, we strongly recommend cancellation or travel insurance to protect your investment. (Cancellation insurance is available through our online booking system.) If we cancel the tour due to severe weather and you cannot reschedule, you will receive a full refund.
